Jaipur, June 19: IndiGo call centre has received a bomb threat call for its Jaipur-Mumbai flight in the early morning hours today. The call received from an unidentified person said that there is a bomb fitted.  More details on the same are awaited.

According to an ANI report, IndiGo has issued a statement saying, " We immediately reported the matter to Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) & followed all security protocols. The concerned authorities carried out the investigation & declared the call as specific bomb threat. Following clearance, operations will be resumed as normal."

According to previous reports, similar bomb threat call was received at the Chennai Airport too in the month of March. Following the threat call, security was beefed up, and intensive checks were being conducted inside the airport premises. A month back, an IndiGo airline worker angry over a job termination notice decided to teach the company a lesson. The customer care officer therefore made a hoax call of a bomb being planted in a Mumbai-bound IndiGo flight to take revenge.
