Mumbai, October 2: Passengers who have been bored travelling in the old, rusty local trains, will be surprised to see the new look of local trains in Mumbai! Commuters using the trans-harbour line will finally see the local trains in a new avatar with beautifully painted Tricolour rakes starting from 2nd October 2018. Meanwhile, students and teachers of Kalyan Railway School painted a local train on the Central Line for Mahatma Gandhi 's birth anniversary and to create awareness for Swachh Bharat. Quotes, messages and Swachhta logo have been displayed on the local train for Public awareness regarding cleanliness.

The Central Railway (CR) took to Twitter to share pictures of the new swanky locals that would make its first ride from Panvel Station in Navi Mumbai. "Experience Journey with Tricolor Painted Trains starting from 2nd October. Commuters can take a pleasant journey with beautifully painted Tricolor trains starting from 2nd Oct, 2018", the CR mentioned in the tweet. Mumbai Local Trains Claimed Over 400 Lives So Far In 2018, 871 People Suffered Serious Injuries Due to Falling Off From Crowded Trains.

1) The train will depart from Panvel at 6.37 am & will reach Thane at 7.29 am

2) The train will depart from Thane at 7.35 am & will reach Vashi at 8.04 am

3) The train will depart from Vashi at 8.12 am & will reach Thane at 8.41 am

4) The train will depart from Thane at 8.51 am & will reach at Nerul at 9.21 am

In the last month, the Central Railway had made its ladies coaches little more exciting by nature-themed paintings. The ladies coaches were seen painted in aquarium and butterfly themes with soothing colours. These coaches were painted in shades of aqua and teal and have pictures of fish in the marine backdrop, with blue seats to match.
