New Delhi, May 16: An encounter broke between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama on Thursday. According to reports, two terrorists were holed up in Dalipora area. On receiving information, security forces launched a cordon and search operation during which they were fired upon. In retaliatory fire, two terrorists were gunned down. A soldier also lost his life in the encounter.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to address public meetings in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. He will also hold a roadshow in Bihar's Patna. Meanwhile, the Congress party is facing a rift in Punjab. Congress leader Navjot Kaur Sidhu hit out at Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and alleged that it was because of him and party general secretary in-charge for state Asha Kumari, that she was denied a ticket from Amritsar.
