In Meghalaya Assembly Elections 2013, the Indian National Congress (INC) won the assembly seats of Umsning, Nongpoh, and Umroi. North East Social Democratic Party (NESDP) won the Jirang seat, while an Independent candidate bagged the seat in Mawhati constituency.

Meghalaya has 18,30,104 voters, of which 9,23,848 are women. A total of 370 candidates are in the fray in the state. The north-eastern states of Meghalaya and Tripura went to polling on February 27 while Nagaland voted on February 18. Counting of votes is held in all the three states today.
