Mumbai, Sep 1: Five girl students of a private school in South Mumbai had gone missing on Friday. While four of them were traced at suburban Kurla railway station on Saturday, efforts were on to locate the remaining one girl. The girls, studying in class 8, didn't return their homes after exam results were declared in the school. They had failed in two or three subjects each.

The girl had gone missing after mid-term exam results were declared their school in Colaba in South Mumbai, following which their parents approached police. The police immidiately swung into action. A constable of Cuffe Parade police station spotted the girl at the Kurla railway station this afternoon. The girls told police that they first went to the Marine Drive in South Mumbai, then to the Hanging Garden and later to Thane before returning to the city, an official told news agency PTI. The official did not reveal why the girls decided not to go home after the school hours yesterday.

The girls were not carrying a mobile phone which made the search harder, he said. They were later reunited with their families.
