Jammu, October 22: All the government employees of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will now get salaries along with several other benefits as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission from October 31, 2019. The order has been issued by the Union Home Ministry and the recommendations will come into existence from October 31 this year. According to a tweet by ANI, the Central government has approved a proposal of payment of all 7th Central Pay Commission allowances to the government employees of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh, which shall come into existence from October 31, 2019. 7th Pay Commission: Central Government May Hike Minimum Pay of Its Employees in November 2019.

Reports inform that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has approved the proposal of payment of all 7th CPC allowances to the government employees of J&K and Ladakh. The decision to hike the salaries of the government employees comes nearly two months after the Narendra Modi-led government revoked Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, which granted special status to the state. 7th Pay Commission Latest News: Diwali Bonus Approved For These Central Government Employees.

The central government had on August 5 announced the abrogation and the bifurcation of the state into two UTs. President Ram Nath Kovind had given assent to a legislation for bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir, into two Union Territories -- Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.

According to the legislation, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will have a legislature like Puducherry and Ladakh will be a UT like Chandigarh, without legislature. Meanwhile, in both the Union Territories, key subjects such as law and order will be with the Centre.
