Agra, September 28: In a shocking incident, a 6-year-old girl was allegedly murdered by her neighbour in Aligarh for buying a packet of chips. The neighbour had allegedly sent the girl to buy paan masala but she returned with a packet of chips. The body which was kept in a sack for disposal later, was found at the residence of the accused late Tuesday night, police said.

According to police, the girl went missing from her Aligarh colony on Tuesday morning. Her family filed a missing report later in the evening at Nagar Kotwali police station. SP (city) Mrigank Shekhar Pathak said, "During probe, one of the accused confessed to the crime. He said he had sent the girl to buy paan masala for Rs 20, but she returned with a packet of chips. When he scolded her, she misbehaved with him and he killed her. We're awaiting the autopsy report to take further action."

Her mutilated body was found in a room in her neighbour's house. The body was stuffed in a gunny bag, he said, adding it is suspected that she was sexually assaulted before being killed. Three people, including a 14-year-old boy, who lured her inside the house by offering her pan masala have been held. The accused have been identified as Suhaleyheen (20) and Rizwan (18), the SSP said.
