A massive fire broke out at an SRA residential building in Mumbai's Andheri West on Friday, triggering panic as several residents were seen jumping from the upper floors to escape the flames. Videos from the spot showed thick black smoke billowing from the building while emergency teams rushed to rescue those trapped inside.

The fire erupted in Building No. 2 of the SRA complex at Gadevi Dongar, near Noor Masjid and Khoja Jamatkhana, close to Delhi United Society. The blaze quickly spread through parts of the building, filling it with dense smoke and trapping several occupants.

According to preliminary information, some residents jumped from the third and fourth floors before firefighters reached the spot.
