A man allegedly poisoned his wife and two young children before dying by suicide in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district, police said on Monday. The bodies of all four family members were found inside their home in Bangareddypalli village under Chittoor Rural mandal, with investigators recovering a handwritten note believed to have been left by the deceased, as reported by TOI. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident. According to police, the deceased has been identified as N. Venkatesh. Investigators suspect he administered poison to his wife and two children before hanging himself inside the house.
Neighbours alerted authorities after noticing that the family had not been seen since Sunday. Police later entered the residence and recovered the bodies.
