Around six fire tenders were deployed immediately after the fire department received information about the blaze. Firefighters launched an intensive operation to bring the fire under control while rescue teams evacuated residents and searched the building. Preliminary information suggests that the fire may have been triggered by a blast in an air conditioner unit. However, officials are yet to confirm the exact cause, and a detailed investigation will be carried out after the fire is completely extinguished. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the incident and directed officials to reach the spot without delay. He instructed the administration to expedite relief and rescue operations, ensure proper medical treatment for anyone injured and continuously monitor the situation until normalcy is restored.
The incident comes weeks after separate fire accidents were reported at residential societies in Noida's Sector 74 and Sector 52, raising fresh concerns over fire safety in high-rise buildings.
