Mumbai, October 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 23, 2018, announced the the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), also known as Ayushman Bharat health scheme and called it the world's largest health care scheme for the poor. The Prime Minister announced the scheme from Ranchi, Jharkhand and called it a "game-changer". However, fake WhatsApp messages are doing rounds regarding registration date for the healthcare scheme. The latest messages going viral which are being shared on WhatsApp groups are related to the last date of registration for the Ayushman Bharat healthcare scheme. The Ayushman Bharat health scheme aims to provide healthcare assurance to over 10 crore families and 50 crore beneficiaries in India. The helpline number for the scheme is 14555. The expenditure of the scheme will be shared by the Centre and the state on 60:40 ratio. According to reports, the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) has already crossed the one-lakh beneficiary mark within a month of its launch.
