Days after declaring Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann as ‘Guru Dokhi’ and ‘Khalsa Panth Virodhi’ over a controversial video, Sri Akal Takht Sahib on Saturday released another video purportedly showing a conversation between Akal Takht Jathedar Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, the chief minister and Mann’s personal assistant Rajbir Singh Ghuman.
According to the Akal Takht, the conversation took place in January and focused on the authenticity of the controversial clip that has triggered a political and religious controversy in Punjab. Bhagwant Mann Viral Video: New Forensic Report Contradicts Akal Takht, Says It’s ‘Not’ Punjab CM.
In the video, the Jathedar can be heard saying that he could not verify whether the clip was genuine or manipulated and stressed the need for a formal probe.
“I don’t know if this video is true or false. This is a subject for investigation,” Gargaj said.

Responding to the remarks, Mann said he was also in favour of an inquiry.
“I also want this investigation (of the video),” the chief minister said during the conversation.
Mann repeatedly described the disputed footage as fabricated and rejected claims that it was authentic. Bhagwant Mann Viral Video Described As ‘India’s Epstein Files’, Punjab CM Terms Clip AI-Generated.
“That is absolutely fake,” he said.
The chief minister also suggested that the clip was being circulated by a person identified as Jagman, whom he accused of blackmail and substance abuse.
During the exchange, Mann said the individual “used to blackmail” and was “not mentally well” and “habitually uses drugs.”
The video further shows Gargaj insisting that Akal Takht Sahib would independently verify the footage before drawing any conclusions.
“Akal Takht Sahib will have this video examined,” he said.
The Jathedar also highlighted the seriousness of the matter and its implications for the Sikh community.
“If it (the video) is false, then it’s okay; if it is true, then it won’t be just about me alone, it would be about the Panth,” Gargaj said.
Referring to advances in artificial intelligence, Mann argued that digital manipulation had become increasingly common.
“These days, AI – you yourself know social media’s ways. Someone might have used a photo in this video, even of Sukhbir Badal and Majithia,” he said.
The video also captures Gargaj asking the Punjab government to suggest forensic laboratories for verification.
“Tell us two labs (to get the video examined),” Gargaj told Mann.
The latest video was released five days after the Akal Takht maintained that the earlier controversial clip was not doctored. On the day Mann was declared ‘Guru Dokhi’, the Jathedar had claimed that the Punjab government never provided the names of any forensic laboratory for examination of the footage.
