A shocking honey trap racket has been exposed near Indore, where police arrested three accused, including Bhavna Bhargava, for allegedly luring and blackmailing victims through social media and dating apps. The case, registered in Mhow’s Badgonda police station area, reveals a well-organised extortion network.

According to Madhya Pradesh Police, the gang targeted an ex-serviceman named Deepak. Bhavna Bhargava initially contacted him, posing as an acquaintance. After gaining his trust over several days, she invited him to a farmhouse in Kelod. Dating App Honeytrap in Delhi: 25-Year-Old Kidnapped and Extorted of INR 7 Lakh; 3 Arrested Including Woman.

However, upon arrival, Deepak was allegedly trapped. Bhavna’s associates, Sadhana Gupta and Vijay Tilware, joined her at the location. The trio accused the victim of rape and threatened to file a police complaint unless he paid INR 2 lakh. Acting on a tip-off, police reached the spot in time and arrested all three accused.

Investigations have revealed that this was not an isolated case. The gang reportedly used dating apps and social media platforms to source phone numbers and target multiple victims. In a troubling twist, police suspect that a lawyer was also part of the network, allegedly intimidating victims at police stations to extract money.

Just hours before their arrest, the accused had reportedly extorted INR 28,000 from a businessman in Indore using the same method. Authorities are now conducting a detailed forensic analysis of the accused’s mobile phones to identify more victims and uncover the full scale of the operation. Karimnagar Couple Honey Trap Case: How Lalitha and Her Husband Ran S*xtortion Racket, Trapping Over 100 Men With Obscene Videos.

Rural Indore police official Umakant Chaudhary confirmed that all three accused have been presented in court and sent to jail. Officials believe several victims may not have come forward due to fear or social stigma, and further arrests are likely as the investigation continues.
