The panel has been tasked by the health department to submit its report within 3 days. Based on the committee's report, further action will be initiated, officials have confirmed.

Update by ANI:

SK Shahi, the Superintendent of Police in Muzaffarpur district, said an autopsy is being conducted of the recovered human skeletals. If the hospital has dumped off unclaimed bodies, then it is very "unfortunate", he told reporters.

As per the usual precedence, Shahi said, a hospital is required to wait for the kin of deceased to claim their relatives body within 72 hours of his demise. If the corpse remains unclaimed, then the hospital authorities burn or bury it depending on the religious affiliation of the deceased.
