Lalitpur, June 6: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader on Tuesday made a controversial statement. In one-minute-nine seconds clip, Kushwaha can be heard saying, "If government employees don't respect our workers, then take off your shoes and hit them because there is a limit to patience." He said that some officers and employees are of the mindset of the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, who are given a month or two to improve.

The BJP MLA also said that during 2019 Lok Sabha Elections in the state some government officers also threatened BJP workers and forced them to support another party (referring to SP-BSP alliance).

Reacting to Ramratan Kushwaha's remark, BJP district in-charge Ram Kishore Sahu objected the MLA's statement. Sahu said that Lalitpur MLA made these statements after being thrown into the emotions. "If anyone is hurt, Kushwaha regrets his statement", he said.
