The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has formally initiated the hiring process for Advertisement No. 14/2026, opening recruitment for 32,388 School Teacher vacancies under the state’s Education Department. Vacancy Distribution and Eligibility Standards

The recruitment drive encompasses 32,388 total vacancies across several teaching tiers under the Education Department. Based on preliminary breakdowns released by authorities, the post distribution covers:

  • Primary Teachers (Classes 1–5): 3,847 posts

  • Upper Primary Teachers (Classes 6–8): 8,563 posts

  • Secondary Teachers (Classes 9–10): 3,877 posts

  • Senior Secondary Teachers (Classes 11–12): 16,101 posts

To qualify, candidates must possess required academic qualifications, such as relevant degree/diplomas (D.El.Ed/B.Ed) along with valid Teacher Eligibility Test qualifications (CTET or STET) corresponding to the respective teaching levels. Detailed category-wise relaxation rules, age limits, and 35% state-domicile reservation for women will be enforced in accordance with Bihar government rules.
