New Delhi, September 20: In the latest development, former union minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Chinmayanand, accused of raping a law student, admitted to all the sexual harassment charges against him on Friday. Naveen Arora, Special Investigation Team (SIT) Chief while interacting with media, said, “Chinmayanand has admitted to almost every allegation levelled against him, including sexual conversations and body massage. Chinmayanand Rape Case: Congress Slams Yogi Adityanath Govt, Questions PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Silence’.

Meanwhile, circumstantial evidence is currently being examined by police. Chinmayanand was admitted to Shahjahanpur government hospital on Wednesday after his health deteriorated. The 73-year-old politician was being treated by a team of doctors in his Mumukshu ashram where he had been& B under house arrest since September 13. Meanwhile, the student had threatened to end her life if Chinmayanand was not arrested. The student also claimed that she had submitted evidence to support her charge. The "explosive video evidence", she said, was handed over to the Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) by her friend.
