New Delhi, December 14: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on Saturday informed that they have closed the entry and exit gates of Jamia Millia Islamia station and Janpath station, after they received advisory from the Delhi Police. Further they also informed that they no Metro train would stop in these two stations, in view of the students protests against Citizenship Amendment Act.

Informing about the latest development, the DMRC said in a tweet, "As advised by Delhi Police, entry and exit at Janpath has been closed. Trains will not be halting at this station." Anti-CAB Protests Turn Violent in West Bengal, 5 Empty Trains Set on Fire in Murshidabad District.

Apart from this, the DMRC shared similar tweet informing that tains would not stop at Jamia Millia Islamia. It said, "As advised by Delhi Police, entry & exit at Jamia Millia Islamia station has been closed. Trains will not be halting at this station."

The following traffic advisory were shared by the DMRC in line with Delhi Police's advisory in view of the protest march by Jamia Millia Islamia students from the university campus to the parliament. All the students are protesting to express their opposition to the controversial legislation. Earlier on Friday too, DMRC had closed the entry and exit gates of Patel Chowk and Janpath metro stations for over an hour due to protests against the amended citizenship act by the students.
