The incident took place on October 1 at a CNG station opposite Jindal Company on NH-48. The car’s gas tank reportedly burst while CNG was being filled, causing the vehicle to explode. The blast severely damaged the car, with parts of its rear body and shattered glass reportedly thrown several metres from the vehicle. Following the explosion, the Karjan fire team and local police reached the spot and took safety measures. The incident was subsequently brought under control. The exact cause of the explosion has not yet been established. Reports have attributed the blast to the CNG tank bursting during refuelling, while the precise reason for the tank failure remains under investigation.
