A 1.5-foot-long female cobra was found inside the school bag of a nursery student at a government primary school in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district on Wednesday, July 15, triggering panic among students and teachers. The snake emerged when the child opened his bag to take out books, following which students rushed out of the classroom.

The incident took place at the Government Primary School in Chandpur village under the Rahli development block. The student, identified as nursery student Bhaskar Ahirwar, had just arrived at school when the snake was spotted inside his bag. Balaghat: Venomous Snake Dies Within Minutes After Biting Man in Madhya Pradesh, Forest Officials Call It ‘Rarest of Rare’ Incident.

Cobra Emerges When Student Opens School Bag

According to reports, Bhaskar opened his school bag inside the classroom when a snake suddenly came out. Frightened by the sight, the child dropped the bag and ran outside. Other students in the classroom also moved out after noticing the snake. Teachers were immediately alerted about the situation.

School teacher Abhay Yadav reached the classroom and carefully removed the bag from the area. He then carried it outside the school premises to prevent any risk to students. Madhya Pradesh Viral Video: Dead Baby Snake Found in Anganwadi Food Packet Given to Pregnant Woman in Pandhurna.

Teacher Rescues Snake and Releases It Into Forest

When the bag was placed on the road outside the school, the nearly 1.5-foot-long female cobra emerged. Abhay Yadav safely rescued the snake and placed it inside a plastic container. The cobra was later released into a nearby forest, according to reports. No injuries were reported among students or teachers during the incident.

The incident comes amid increased reports of snake sightings in parts of Madhya Pradesh during the monsoon season. Around a week earlier, a 15-foot-long python was spotted in Chhatarpur district, causing concern among residents in Putri Kheda village under the Ghuwara-Bhagwan police station area.

The python weighed around 25 kg. Officials and wildlife experts often advise people not to approach snakes directly during such encounters and to seek help from trained rescuers.

During heavy rainfall and waterlogging, snakes and other reptiles frequently move out of their natural shelters in search of dry places, increasing the possibility of human encounters.
