New Delhi, September 23: In a shocking incident, four unidentified men were caught on camera firing at the police team near Akshardham temple when they were asked to stop the car for checking. In a video released by ANI, the four assailants were in a white-coloured four-wheeler when they fired at the police team. The incident took place on Sunday. According to reports, the police team had asked them to stop their vehicle when they resorted to firing and later managed to escape. No one was injured in the incident.

Several media reports inform that the suspects ran towards the Geeta Colony flyover soon after. The Police has launched a search operation to nab the unidentified men. According to a report by India Today, a team of Mandawali police station had laid a trap to nab a gang around 10.45 am where they would dupe people near Akshardham Metro station on the pretext of offering them ride towards Shahdara. Delhi Police Launch New App 'Tatpar' Containing Links to Numerous Mobile Applications.

The report informs that when the suspected white colour car came close, the police staff signalled them to surrender but the suspects fired one round at the team and sped towards Geeta Colony flyover. According to police the gang was involved in loot activities as they provided cab services to people at lower rates from the Metro station and then used to loot them.
