When police reached the spot, the victims had already been shifted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital. Doctors declared the woman, identified as Aarti, dead on arrival. Her husband, Vicky, who suffered multiple stab wounds, was later referred to Safdarjung Hospital for specialised treatment due to the severity of his injuries. Preliminary Probe Points to Neighbourhood Dispute
Initial investigations indicate that the violence stemmed from an argument over the parking of a motorcycle in the neighbourhood. What began as a verbal altercation allegedly escalated into a physical attack in which the couple was stabbed.
Police said they have identified two alleged assailants—a 40-year-old man known as Pappu and a juvenile—both believed to be residents of the same locality.
