New Delhi, Sep 4:  At least two people lost their lives after a fire broke out in a godown in Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar earlier today. According to a tweet by ANI,  three people have been injured in the incident.  In the last week, a massive fire broke out on the sixth floor of the Lok Nayak Bhavan near Sujan Singh Park in the national capital. No casualties were reported.

According to a report by TOI, the sixth-floor houses the office of the Directorate of enforcement, a ministry of finance was destroyed in the fire. Due to the blaze, many files and documents were also gutted.

Earlier in August, a fire broke out in the basement of the Ashok Hotel at Chanakyapuri on Monday, said a senior officer from the Delhi Fire Service.  According to a report by PTI, a call was received at 12.20 pm about the fire in the hotel's records kept in the basement and eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot, he said. No one was injured.
