Amritsar, June 5: On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr on Wednesday, Border Security Force (BSF) exchanged sweets with Pakistan Rangers at Attari Border in Amritsar in Punjab. It is a common tradition between the two nations to exchange sweets on the major festivals as a goodwill gesture. Similarly, BSF and Border Guards Bangladesh personnel wished each other on Eid by exchanging sweets in Fulbari, at Indo-Bangladesh border near Siliguri in West Bengal. Eid ul-Fitr 2019 Greetings: President Ram Nath Kovind, PM Narendra Modi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi Extend Wishes.

Eid is being celebrated in the Indian sub-continent on June 5. The Shawwal crescent was sighted in the region on Tuesday. People across the entire Indian Sub-Continent thronged mosques to offers prayers for Eid and wished each other on the sacred occasion.
