Gandhinagar, November 5: A woman assistant sub-inspector accused a fellow police sub-inspector of rape. According to a report published in The Times of India, the woman ASI is posted at Surendranagar police headquarters, while the accused is working in Patan. The rape survivor lodged a police complaint 30-year-old Ashish Damor on Saturday. The 28-year-old rape survivor alleged that Damor had raped her several times for the past 10 months by promising her to marry. Uttar Pradesh: Police Inspector Rapes Woman Constable for 8 Years

According to the report, the woman ASI came in contact with the accused during her training at Gujarat Police Academy in Karai of Gandhinagar district. The accused also told her that he was a bachelor. They both get into a physical relationship. Damor had sex with the woman ASI several times at a guesthouse in Surendranagar, and also at different places in Ahmedabad and Chotila.

When the rape survivor asked the accused to get married, he started to ignore her. She then inquired about Damor and found out that he was already married and had a son. The Police have not yet arrested the accused. Meanwhile, in September, a woman sub-inspector was allegedly gang-raped inside the premises of Palwal police station. A complaint was lodged against five suspects in the case.
