13 people including 3 women lost their lives after a jeep fell into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday morning. The incident took place near Snail in Shimla district,  three kilometres from Kuddu on Tiyuni Road. Three people who have been injured in the incident, have been admitted in Rohru hospital.

Shimla Superintendent of Police Omapati Jamwal, talking to news agency PTI, said that a police team led by Jubbal Station House Officer and Swara police post in-charge is at the accident site.

Himachal Pradesh has witnessed a spate of bus accidents this year. On August 23, at least 11 people were killed in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu after a car rolled down a hill on Thursday. In June, seven people were killed after a Himachal Road Transport Corporation bus plunged off a mountain side after it skidded off the road and fell down a hill near Chhaila. The accident was reported from Nurpur area in Kangra, where a private bus ferrying 40 school students skidded off the highway and had plunged into a deep gorge.
