New Delhi, March 12: Holi is just round the corner and the rush to get home in this festive season, especially in the Northern states is at peak during these days. Considering this, the Indian Railways runs special trains so that people away from their families can be with their loved ones for the important festival of Holi. With an aim to clear the extra rush in regular trains during Holi season, the Ministry of Railways has decided to run Holi Special Trains. Check the names and schedules of the trains which will be run during these days especially for the Holi festival below:

1.  Anand Vihar Terminus to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra - Anand Vihar (T) Holi Special A.C. Express Train (Bi-Weekly) 08 Trips

From March 12 to March 21, 2019, train number 04401 will run from Anand Vihar to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi on every Monday and Thursday. Train number 00402 will run from Mata Vaishno Devi Kalra to Anand Vihar station on every Tuesday and Friday starting from March 13 and up to March 22, 2019.

Train No. 04401 will arrive at 14:00 and depart at 23:00 IST. Whereas the train no. 04402 will arrive at 14.20 and depart at 23.30 IST.

Stoppages: Ludhiana, Jalandhar Contonment, Pathankot Cantonment, Ghaziabad, Meerut City, Muzaffaranagar, Jammu Tawi and Udhampur stations.

2. Anand Vihar (T) - Lucknow- Anand Vihar (T) Holi Special Express Train (Bi-Weekly) 08 Trips

Train No. 04414 from Anand Vihar to Lucknow will run on every Tuesday and Thursday from March 12, 2019 to  March 21, 2019. Whereas 04413 will run from Lucknow to Anand Vihar on every Wednesday and Friday between March 13 to March 22, 2019.

Train 04414 will arrive at the station at 05.50 and depart at 21.05 IST. Whereas train 04413 will arrive at 06:00 and the departure is at 18:50 IST.

Stoppages: Moradabad, Bareilly and Ghaziabad station.

 3. Mumbai Central-New Delhi- Mumbai Central Holi Special A.C. Super Fast Train (Special fare)

Train No 09005 will run from Mumbai Central to Delhi every Friday from March 1 to March 22, 2019 on every Friday. Whereas train no 09006 will run from New Delhi to Mumbai Central on every Saturday from March 2 to March 23, 2019.

Train no 09005 will arrive at 07.55 and the departure is scheduled at 16:00 IST. Whereas train no 09005 will arrive at the station at 06.55 and the departure is scheduled at 14.50 IST.

Stoppages: Vadodara, Kota and other stations on route.

4. Nangal Dam, Punjab- Lucknow- Nangal Dam Holi Special Express Train (Weekly)

Train no 04502 will run from Nangal Dam, Punjab to Lucknow on every Monday from March 11 to March 18, 2019. Whereas, train no 04501 will run from Lucknow to Nangal Dam every Tuesday from March 12 to March 19, 2019.

Train no 04502 will arrive at 13.50 and the scheduled departure is at 23.45 IST. Whereas, train no 04501 will arrive at 13:00 and the scheduled departure is at 21.30 IST.

Stoppages: Ambala Cantonment, Jagadhari, Saharanpur Moradabad, Roop Nagar, Chandigarh, and Bareilly station.

Other than the above mentioned trains, Train no 04998/04997 Bhatinda-Varanasi-Bhatinda Holi Special Express Train (Weekly), Nizamuddin to Pune, New Delhi to Barauni (Bihar) have also been arranged as Holi special trains to try and reduce the rush burden on other turns. Holi will be celebrated on March 21, 2019 and the Holika Dahan will take place on March 20.
