Step-by-Step Guide to Check PM-Kisan Payment Status

Beneficiaries can verify whether the INR 2,000 instalment has been credited to their bank accounts by checking their status online through the centralised portal. To check the application and payment status, farmers should follow these steps:

  • Navigate to the official PM-KISAN website at pmkisan.gov.in.
  • Scroll down to the "Farmers' Corner" section on the homepage and click on the "Know Your Status" option.
  • If you do not know your PM-Kisan registration number, click on the "Know your registration no." link. Enter your registered mobile number or Aadhaar number, fill in the captcha, and verify with the OTP sent to your phone to retrieve it.
  • Return to the status page, enter your alphanumeric registration number along with the on-screen captcha code, and click "Get Data". The screen will display your detailed profile, bank account seeding status, and the breakdown of your latest instalment payment.

Verifying Name in the PM Kisan Beneficiary List

In addition to individual profiles, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare maintains a localised beneficiary database broken down by state and village. Farmers can verify if their names are included in the active registry for the 23rd instalment through a separate lookup tool. To view the village list:

  • Go to the "Farmers' Corner" on the portal and select "Beneficiary List".
  • Use the dropdown menus to select your specific State, District, Sub-District, Block, and Village.
  • Click the "Get Report" button to load the full list of recognised beneficiaries for that locality.

Mandatory Requirements to Avoid Payment Delays

The Ministry reiterated that future disbursements and successful credits remain dependent on fulfilling mandatory verification criteria. Farmers who meet the landholding eligibility parameters but have not received their funds are advised to check three essential system parameters on the portal:

  • eKYC Verification: Completing electronic Know-Your-Customer (eKYC) authentication is mandatory for all registered farmers. This can be processed via biometric scanning at Common Service Centres (CSCs), through OTP verification on the portal, or via the PMKISAN GoI mobile application using face authentication.
  • Aadhaar-Bank Account Seeding: The beneficiary’s active bank account must be fully linked with their Aadhaar card and seeded with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) mapping system to receive DBT transfers.
  • Land Seeding Status: State land revenue records must be properly integrated and updated against the farmer's registration profile on the national system. How To Check PM Kisan Beneficiary List Online at pmkisan.gov.in Ahead of the23rd Instalment Release on June 20.

Expanding the Digital Agriculture Framework

The 23rd instalment release in West Bengal coincided with a broader push for digital infrastructure in India's agricultural sector. Alongside the income transfer, the government rolled out "AgriStack" initiatives within the host state under the Digital Agriculture Mission. This digital public framework aims to create unified identities for farmers, streamline credit access through Kisan Credit Cards, and automate direct subsidies for fertiliser and Minimum Support Price (MSP) procurements. Additionally, 14 states have now phased in a mandatory unique Farmer ID for new registrations to check anomalies and maintain database integrity.
