Hyderabad: 8 Rape, Exploit Minor Girl Using Chocolates Laced With Ganja; Arrested
Police in Hyderanad have arrested eight people for the alleged s*xual exploitation of a minor girl over two and a half years using laced chocolates. Authorities plan to arrest three more suspects and take action against hotel staff for allowing entry. The suspects were known to the victim and allegedly subjected her to s*xual exploitation separately over a period of two and a half year.
Police in Telangana's Hyderabad have arrested eight individuals in connection with the alleged s*xual exploitation and rape of a minor girl over a multi-year period. A formal case was registered on Sunday, September 13, under the Protection of Children from S*xual Offences (POCSO) Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following a formal complaint.
Nature of the Allegations
According to law enforcement authorities, the suspects were known to the victim and allegedly subjected her to s*xual exploitation separately over a period of two and a half years, reports PTI. Investigators stated that the perpetrators used substances such as chocolates laced with ganja to lure and manipulate the minor. Ongoing Investigation and Hotel Liability
The victim was also allegedly assaulted inside a commercial hotel room during the course of the abuse. Police confirmed that three additional suspects have been identified and are likely to be arrested soon as the investigation continues.
Authorities have also indicated that legal action will be initiated against the management and staff of the hotel involved. The establishment faces scrutiny for allegedly violating statutory guidelines by permitting the minor and the accused individuals to enter and occupy the premises.
