How The Incident Unfolded
According to police, the white Maruti Baleno car (TS09FK4804) was allegedly being driven by the minor, who is a student and resident of Borabanda. Police said the vehicle had been rented earlier in the morning by a 19-year-old youth from an acquaintance at Lucky Function Hall in Sriram Nagar. After leaving for home on a motorcycle, the 19-year-old inadvertently left the car keys inside the vehicle. Another youth then moved the car a short distance and parked it on the roadside before getting out. Police said the minor subsequently attempted to drive the car despite not being proficient at driving.

The vehicle allegedly went out of control, crashing into seven parked motorcycles before veering onto the opposite side of the road and hitting a motorcycle carrying two brothers. Injured Rushed To Hospital, Case Registered
The injured were identified as Raj Kumar (60) and Prabhakar (55), both residents of Karmika Nagar. The brothers were on their way to church on the same motorcycle when the accident occurred. Locals rushed to the spot, rescued the injured, and shifted them to nearby hospitals, where Raj Kumar and Prabhakar were admitted for treatment.
Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident, including the circumstances under which the minor came to be driving the rented vehicle.
