A complaint was filed with SR Nagar police the following day after concerns were raised about her condition.
Police said Nikitha was found with injuries on her body, including wounds around her head and neck. Ravi Teja had reportedly taken her to Apollo Hospital for treatment, where she later died. Investigators suspect that Nikitha suffered blunt force injuries. Police said the nature and location of the wounds led them to focus their investigation on Ravi Teja, who was reportedly with her at the hotel. Following the woman's death, Ravi Teja left the area, prompting police to launch a search for him. Investigators also recorded statements from the victim's parents as part of the probe. Police teams eventually traced Ravi Teja to his home in Visakhapatnam. According to the police account, he had consumed a chemical and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Police said Ravi Teja later confessed to attacking Nikitha following disagreements related to their relationship. Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault and the events that preceded the woman's death. After being discharged from hospital, police obtained a transit order and produced him before a court. He was subsequently sent to judicial custody, according to the latest police information. The case remains under investigation, with police working to establish the sequence of events inside the hotel room and determine the precise circumstances that led to Nikitha's death. The development comes amid separate reports of another recent hotel-room death involving a woman in Hyderabad's SR Nagar area. In that case, police identified the victim as 34-year-old bank customer-care executive B Sirisha and were investigating her partner A Srinivas. The two cases are separate incidents.
