New Delhi, August 15: India will celebrate its 73rd Independence Day on Thursday, August 15. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unfurl the national flag from the ramparts of the Red Fort in Delhi. After hoisting the tricolour, PM Modi will address the nation. His speech, expected to be nearly an hour-long, will highlight achievements by his government in the recent past along with outlining the challenges ahead. It will be the first time PM will hoist the national flag on August 15 after resuming the charge as the Prime Minister for the second consecutive term. PM Modi's speech will be telecasted on Doordarshan and its youtube channel from 7:30 onwards on Thursday.
