Srinagar, August 2: An exchange of fire is underway between terrorists and security forces in Pandoshan village of Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. On July 31 encounter that took place between terrorists and security forces, two terrorists were gunned down by the security forces. Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing at India. A woman who got injured in the shelling along LoC succumbed to her injuries later in the day.

Budgam police arrested one Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist from Jammu and Kashmir's Qazipora area on Wednesday. The arrested terrorist has been identified as Showkat Ahmad Tantary, a resident of Damhal Hanji Pora in Kulgam district. He was wanted by law for complicity in a series of terror crimes.
