Following an argument with guards, the men forced their way past security. Mall officials (Jio World Plaza) quickly filed a formal complaint, prompting local authorities to intervene. One of the individuals was found to be accompanied by an armed escort carrying a weapon.
Police Investigation and Clarification
The BKC police registered a First Information Report (FIR) under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) pertaining to the impersonation of a public servant and unlawful entry with a deadly weapon. All three suspects were subsequently traced and taken into custody. "The incident took place on Monday at the shopping plaza. It was an isolated breach, and we have confirmed that the weapon involved is licensed. This matter is entirely unrelated to the Hon'ble Prime Minister's visit to Mumbai today," a senior police official stated. The police later clarified that the incident had occurred at Jio World Plaza in BKC on Monday, September 7, and had no connection with the Prime Minister's event.
