Kalyan Bainsla Arrested in Gurugram Biker Sia Hit-and-Run Case

Gurugram Police have arrested Kalyan Bainsla, the accused in the alleged hit-and-run involving biker Shivani Chauhan, known as Sia, from Rajasthan’s Dausa, days after the incident on Golf Course Road. A police team had travelled to Rajasthan to trace Bainsla, who had been on the run since the crash.

Bainsla is being brought from Dausa to Gurugram, where he is likely to be questioned further in connection with the case, Times Now reported. The development comes hours after Gurugram Police added an attempt to murder charge under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following an analysis of CCTV footage.

What Happened to Biker Sia on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road?

The incident took place on Sunday morning on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road. Sia was riding her Aprilia RS 457 when a car allegedly followed her and other bikers before moving towards her motorcycle and hitting it.

Sia alleged that the occupants of the car appeared to be intoxicated and repeatedly tried to move close to her. According to her account, she asked them to maintain distance and accelerated only after she felt that she was being followed.

She also said she was travelling at around 60-70 kmph, while the car was moving much faster.

Kalyan Bainsla’s Version of Gurugram Biker Sia Crash

After the collision, the car allegedly fled the spot. A fellow biker reportedly caught up with the vehicle at a traffic signal and asked the occupants to stop. However, the driver allegedly denied responsibility and drove away.

Bainsla had denied deliberately hitting Sia. In media interactions, he claimed that a group of bikers had been riding aggressively and that Sia suddenly turned while he was attempting to take a turn. He also claimed that he feared being attacked if he stopped after the collision.

The accused remained out of police custody despite speaking to reporters and giving his version of the incident. Sia had questioned the delay, alleging negligence by Gurugram Police and asking how Bainsla had time to make reels and meet reporters.

Police, however, maintained that they were working to identify and apprehend the accused. Bainsla has now been apprehended in Dausa and is being brought to Gurugram for further investigation.
