Kanpur, March 31: A shocking and high-profile case has surfaced from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a newly married woman has accused her in-laws of forcing her into disturbing naked rituals under the guise of tantra practices. The woman, who got married on March 6, 2024, claims her father spent nearly INR 5 crore on the wedding, even taking loans to meet demands.

According to the complaint, soon after arriving at her marital home in Pandu Nagar, she was introduced to alleged midnight tantra rituals led by her mother-in-law. The victim alleged that she was told all family members participate in these rituals naked and was pressured to do the same. She further alleged that during one such incident, she was locked in a room with her father-in-law, where her dignity was violated. The victim said her in-laws justified the practices by claiming their wealth and business success were due to these tantra ceremonies. She also alleged that her mother-in-law frequently traveled to Kolkata for such rituals and insisted the tradition must continue.

In addition, the woman claimed that her in-laws demanded an extra INR 2 crore and one kilogram of gold after the marriage. When her family initially approached the police, she alleged that attempts were made to push for a compromise due to the accused familyтАЩs influence and connections to a former prominent political figure.

Eventually, the victim approached the womenтАЩs police station, where a case has now been registered under six different sections against her husband, in-laws, and other family members. Police officials confirmed that an investigation is underway, and appropriate action will follow based on findings.

The case has sparked outrage and raised serious concerns about abuse, coercion, and misuse of blind faith practices.
