The incident took place in the Cantonment area and has raised serious concerns among students, parents and staff. The injured teacher was rushed to a nearby hospital and is undergoing treatment. Police said his condition is stable, though he suffered deep injuries to his hand and other parts of the body.
The incident reportedly occurred during a visit by the student to collect his Transfer Certificate (TC), with officials noting that prior disputes had taken place between the student and the class teacher.
Argument During Transfer Certificate Process
According to police, as reported by ABP News, the student had come to the school to collect his Transfer Certificate (TC). Officials said there had been earlier disagreements between the student and the class teacher.
During the TC handover process, another argument reportedly broke out. Police said that in the middle of the heated exchange, the student allegedly opened his bag, took out a knife, and attacked the teacher. School staff intervened immediately, stopping the assault and ensuring the injured teacher was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Incident Captured on CCTV
Police confirmed that the entire incident was recorded on the school’s CCTV cameras. The footage is being reviewed as part of the investigation to establish the sequence of events leading to the attack.
The minor student was detained shortly after the incident. Preliminary findings suggest that the knife used in the attack may have been ordered through an online shopping platform.
Investigators are now working to determine how the student obtained the weapon and whether anyone else had knowledge of it being brought onto the school premises.
Police Investigation Underway
Police have launched a detailed investigation into whether the attack was pre-planned or occurred in the heat of the moment. Authorities have also initiated proceedings to send the minor to a juvenile home.
Following the incident, police personnel have been deployed at the school campus, and the management has held an emergency meeting to review safety protocols.
