Bengaluru, October 16: A loan manager in Karnataka was thrashed by a woman in broad daylight after he asked her for sexual favours in return for a loan that she had applied for. According to reports, the incident happened in Karnataka's Davanagere. The man has been identified as Devaiyya, who was working at the DHFL loan agency.

According to a Times Now report, the woman had sought a loan of Rs 2 lakh, following which Devaiyya asked her for sexual favours. Angry at the man's conduct, the woman beat him up with a cane. In a video, the woman can also be seen kicking the man, slapping him and hitting him with slippers.

Earlier this year in June, a similar incident of a bank manager seeking sexual favours for a loan was reported from Maharashtra. A branch manager of the Central Bank of India in Buldhana district was booked for setting an obscene condition before a farmer couple for sanctioning their crop loan. The manager, identified as Rajesh Hivase, had sought "sex favours" from applicant's wife in lieu of approving the loan amount.
