Background of the Investigation
Gangwar was earlier grilled by the CID team for nearly nine hours on Friday as part of the ongoing probe. He is currently posted as Director-MSME in the Karnataka Department of Industries and Commerce, but at the time the alleged irregularities occurred, he was serving as Controller of Examinations at the KPSC. On August 23, the Enforcement Directorate had also raided his residences in Bengaluru and Bareilly as part of a separate money laundering investigation linked to the same alleged irregularities in the KPSC-conducted exam. How the Case Unfolded
The case was initially registered at Vidhana Soudha Police Station before being transferred to the CID on July 28. It is alleged that KPSC officers were involved in irregularities during the recruitment process for veterinary officers under the Animal Husbandry Department.
