Bhopal, August 3: A tribe between Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district and Mandaur on National Highway-79, which forces its minor girls into flesh trade, is coming to the notice of general public after an expose by news channel CNN News18. Some of the girls in the deras (tribe)could be seen talking on the camera as to how the police won't interfere as they don't visit the area, after they were asked whether the police could raid the place. The special investigation, led by the news channel, exposed the rampant sex-trade on NH- 79, which connects Mumbai and Delhi. Reactions have started coming from the public and political circles, after the expose. The girls, mostly minors, can be seen talking on the camera about the price tag for their different body parts to the undercover journalists, who presented themselves as prospective customers, as part of the expose.

The expose also mentions that it is a practice among the Badshah tribe, to push the girls into prostitution. In the name of tradition, the girls are forced to take up flesh trade at the young age of 12 or 13 years. The horrific details in the video expose has girls saying on camera that 10 to 11 men visit them every night. The Minister for Women and Child Development, Maneka Gandhi, has tweeted about the expose and termed it "extremely appalling." She also said that the Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD) have sought an immediate report from the Madhya Pradesh government on the incident. Check her tweet below:
