Moradabad, November 19: The Moradabad Police on Saturday booked a 26-year-old man named Rohtash Kumar on charges of sedition for allegedly criticising BJP MP from Moradabad Kunwar Sarvesh Kumar and District Magistrate (DM) Rakesh Kumar Singh in a video. The alleged video came to administration's notice on Thursday, November 15, and the man in the video was identified as Rohtash Kumar. The whole matter pertains to Rohtash Kumar filing a case against a ration shop owner named Guddi Devi. The Indian Express reported that Rohtash Kumar, in the video, alleges that the BJP MP and DM have been protecting the ration shop owner Guddi Devi and alleges that Devi has been involved in wrongdoing, not providing foodgrains to the villagers.

The police said that Rohtash in the video claims that he has links with naxals and terrorist groups. The FIR against Rohtash was filed by the secretary of BJP MP Kunwar Sarvesh Kumar at Thakurdwara police station. Thakurdwara SHO said that raids are being conducted to find the accused. However, Rohtash Kumar released a video on Sunday and said that he is being framed for highlighting corruption in ration distribution and denied any links with Naxal or terror groups.
