Mumbai, May 26: From May 27 at 8 a.m. to May 28 at 10 a.m., water service will be interrupted in sections of the G-South and G-North wards in order to fix and stop a leak in a water channel in Dadar (west). There will be a 26-hour water supply outage in parts of G South and G North.

Prior to this, Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) on Wednesday notified that some portions of Thane, Maharashtra's water supply will be shut off for 24 hours on May 26 owing to maintenance and repair work.

Ghodbunder Road in Thane, as well as Lokmanya Nagar, Vartak Nagar, Saket, Ritu Park, the Thane Central Jail grounds, Gandhi Nagar, Rustomjee township, Indira Nagar, Srinagar, Samata Nagar, Siddheshwar, Eternity Mall, Mumbra, and Kalwa, would also reportedly not have water service.

According to authorities, the water supply will have low pressure for the next one to two days after it is restored. Due to ongoing construction to relocate the 500 mm diameter main TMC water distribution pipe at Dhobi Ghat in Kopri, TMC will also impose a water cut in that area of Thane East on Thursday. Between Thursday am and Friday morning, there will be a stoppage. This will have an impact on the supply in Kopri's Dhobi Ghat and Kanhaiya Nagar neighbourhoods.
