A 90-year-old woman has been murdered in Tippur village, KR Nagar taluk, in a dispute over money. Police officials confirmed that the victim's body was discovered dumped in a drainage canal behind her residence. The local police have taken a resident of the same village into custody, who has allegedly confessed to the killing following an interrogation.

Theft and Betrayal in Tippur Village

The victim, identified as Gouramma, lived alone in Tippur while her four children lived separately. According to police reports, the accused, a man named Veerabhadra, had established a relationship of trust with the elderly woman. The accused allegedly took the entire sum from her, claiming he required the funds for an urgent matter. When Gouramma requested the return of her money a week later, the situation turned violent. Police state that Veerabhadra entered her home at night, gagged her to prevent her from screaming, and murdered her.

Police Investigation and Suspect Arrest

The crime came to light after Gouramma's children were unable to locate her and noticed that Veerabhadra had also vanished from the village. Following a formal complaint at the town police station, officers monitored the area for the suspect's return. Upon his arrival back in Tippur, Veerabhadra was apprehended and interrogated.

During the questioning, the suspect admitted to the murder and directed officers to the toilet drain where he had hidden the body.
