Series Of Tremors In Nashik
The latest earthquake follows several smaller tremors recorded in the Nashik region in recent days. NCS data shows multiple earthquakes in the Nashik area on August 6, including events measuring 3.6, 3.0, 2.8, 2.7 and 2.5 magnitude. Another 3.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded on August 5. The repeated tremors have caused concern among residents, although the latest event was of moderate magnitude.
Following the tremors, authorities appealed to residents to remain alert and follow safety precautions. Residents indoors have been advised to stay away from windows, glass, cupboards and heavy objects. If possible, people should take shelter under a sturdy table.
