The Education department in a memorandum highlighted that the focus of 'No School Bag Day' will be given more on the areas for providing a holistic development of the students by reducing excessive stress and by making school a more fun place.
The decision to implement this came after it was found that students in these categories of classes were found to be always engaged with routine works related to the school curriculum, additional homework assignments and couldn't get time for life skill activities including games and sports, extra co-curricular activities.
