A minor dispute over an online mobile gaming profile escalated into a violent assault in the Santacruz area early Saturday morning, October 3, resulting in severe injuries to a young man and the subsequent arrest of three suspects. According to the Vakola Police, the incident took place at approximately 1:30 am on the steps of St Rock Church in the Kalina locality.
Escalation Over Social Media and Gaming IDs
The victim, identified as Dilshad Shah, was sitting outside with a group of friends when a heated confrontation broke out, reports PTI. Police Action and Investigation
Following a formal complaint lodged by the victim's brother, Salman, law enforcement officers moved swiftly. The Vakola Police registered a formal case under Section 109 (attempt to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Authorities have arrested three primary suspects in connection with the attack: Arbez Shah, Musahid Vakil Ahmed Khan, and Kausar Ali Jamil Shah. Police confirmed that further investigation into the sequence of events and additional participants is currently underway.
