The victim has been identified as Shivansh Dhoot. According to the child's father, Shailesh Dhoot, the incident came to light after Shivansh left the apartment to play outside. When his sister returned home shortly after without him, she informed her parents that Shivansh had never arrived at the playground. The information prompted an immediate search by his parents. During the search, the boy’s mother noticed that the building's elevator was stuck. Upon looking inside, she discovered Shivansh lying motionless. Local emergency services, including the Fire Brigade and the Sinhgad Road Police, rushed to the scene after being alerted, but the child could not be saved.
