Kota, August 12: In a shocking incident, a married woman in Rajasthan stabbed her husband to death with the help of her lover and her cousin sister. Reports inform that the incident took place in Prem Nagar locality of Kota area in Rajasthan in the early hours of Sunday. According to a report by Hindustan Times, all three- the woman, her lover and her sister, have been arrested by police for committing the crime. The incident came to light after the Udhyog Nagar police station received a call about the murder. The 27-year-old victim, identified as Mahaveer Bairwa, was a daily wage labourer. The report quotes Anita Duhan, Circle and IPS officer saying that when police reached Mahaveer’s house, his 24-year-old wife Yashoda made stories and told the Police that three men entered the house, threw chilli powder in her husband’s eyes and stabbed him to death. The report further states that apart from the wife, her 17-year-old sister and the couple’s two kids were in the house when the crime took place. The police handed over the dead body of Mahaveer to his parents after autopsy.
When the woman was interrogated, she continued making fake stories and said the three men, who entered the house and killed her husband, also ran away with Rs 18,000 and her mangalsutra. Police informed that the woman's contradictory statements raised doubts. Yashoda also confessed to the police that she was in an extra-marital affair with Om Prakash for the last four years.
When a detailed probe was done into the matter, the woman confessed to the crime and admitted that she had murdered her husband with the help of her paramour named Om Prakash Bairwa, 23, and her younger sister. She further informed the Police that all of three stabbed Mahaveer multiple times.
