London, August 27: British MP Lord Nazir Ahmed drew flak on social media for his post predicting the death of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the passing away of former Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Ahmed, citing BJP lawmaker Sadhvi Pragya's claim that the Opposition is using "marak tantra" (black magic) to eliminate leaders of the ruling camp, said "Narendra Modi is next".

Pragya, while addressing a meeting in Bhopal to pay tribute to Jaitley and Babulal Gaur -- the former Madhya Pradesh CM who passed away last week -- said she was warned by a religious leader during the general elections campaign that the Opposition is resorting to "evil practices". Modi, in Address to Indian Diaspora in Bahrain, Says 'My Friend Arun Jaitley is Gone...Deeply Pained'

"During my election campaign, a maharaj ji (religious person) had told me that the opposition is resorting to sorcery on your party (BJP) and its leaders. He said it is a very bad time and asked me to be cautious," she said.

Citing her claim, Ahmed posted an insensitive tweet in which he claimed that PM Modi could be "next" after Jaitley, Gaur, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Manohar Parrikar.
