Specific Restrictions by Flyover

The rollout schedule and exact bans vary across each of the five designated structures:

  • BGS (Sirsi Circle) Flyover: Heavy goods vehicles are barred round the clock. Other goods vehicles, including three-wheeler goods autorickshaws, are restricted from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  • Peenya Flyover: Passenger auto-rickshaws and three-wheeler goods autorickshaws are prohibited 24 hours a day. Heavy and medium goods vehicles face peak-hour restrictions from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  • Electronics City Elevated Expressway: All categories of goods vehicles - heavy, medium, and light - are prohibited between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Two-wheelers, passenger auto-rickshaws, and three-wheeler goods autorickshaws face a round-the-clock ban.
  • Metro Double-Decker Flyover: This corridor enforces a 24-hour ban specifically targeting heavy goods vehicles.
  • Ballari Road (Airport Road) Flyover: Two-wheelers and auto-rickshaws are prohibited 24 hours a day. All categories of goods vehicles are restricted from utilizing the route between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

Implementation Timeline

Restrictions for the BGS (Sirsi Circle) flyover, Peenya flyover, metro double-decker flyover, and Ballari Road airport flyover come into force on September 4.
